Some musical oddities
 
  1. Country songs - 33% mention tears, 20% refer to alcohol, 14% mention "mama".

  2. None of the Beatles could read or write music, and neither could Jimi Hendrix.

  3. Leo Fender who created the electric guitar couldn't play it.

  4. Metallica is the only band who have played in all seven continents.

  5. Freddie Mercury plays the same piano in Bohemian Rhapsody that Paul McCartney played in Hey Jude.

  6. In retail stores slow music is played to keep you shopping and spend more. In restaurants fast music is played to speed up turnaround, or slow music to keep people in the restaurant.

  7. On the one-year anniversary of the Curiosity rover’s landing on Mars, it played “Happy Birthday” to itself making “Happy Birthday” the first song and Curiosity the first device used to play music on another planet.

  8. Before she was famous, Madonna was fired from Dunkin Donuts for squirting jam on a customer.

  9. Cher was the first artist to use Autotune on her 1998 song, "Believe".

  10. Pete Townshend, of The Who, has smashed more than 90 guitars in his Who career, including at least 23 Fender Stratocasters, 12 Gibson Les Pauls and 21 Gibson SGs.
